PAARD360

PAARD360 is the secret of the Grolsch Zaal. Architect Rem Koolhaas conceived a design for a modular concert hall. Consequently, the balconies in the Grolsch Zaal are retractable. By placing the stage in the center of the hall, a unique setting is created: an arena where artists take center stage, surrounded by the balconies. Intimate, unique, and exciting. During these concerts and club nights, the audience therefore stands 360° around the stage! A totally new experience of our iconic hall.

In May 2026, the Grolsch Zaal will undergo this metamorphosis with the following acts as gladiators in our arena:

THOMAS AZIER

Thomas Azier is a Dutch composer, producer, singer, and performer. Over the past twelve years, he has released six albums, winning two Edisons among others. As a writer and producer, he has collaborated with artists such as Hang Youth and Stromae. In his own music, he explores a wide range of styles, varying from experimental noise and film music to classical, opera, and jazz. His latest project, PANORAMA, has a cinematic perspective that looks at the world from countless angles. And where does that come into its own better than at PAARD360.

WIES

Over the winding roads of indie pop, straight through the alleys of the ballad genre, and along the side roads of rock and electronica, WIES walks a path entirely his own. WIES is a musical chameleon, known for, among others, *Soms Is Het Te Laat*, *Meisje*, and *Venus*. Colorful on the outside with influences from punk and electronic sides, and a grand sound. But also with a deeper layer, a serious and sensitive interior, with lyrics that mean something and have been well thought out.

Omar Souleyman

The Syrian singer Omar Souleyman, who collaborated with Gorillaz on their most recent album “The Mountain” with Björk and Four Tet, began his career as a prolific wedding singer and released nearly 500 live cassettes before the civil war broke out in his native Syria in 2011. In 2013, his debut studio album Wenu Wenu was released, produced by Four Tet. His second album Bahdeni Nami from 2015 garnered much critical acclaim, as did his three releases on Mad Decent: To Syria, With Love (2017), SHLON (2019), and ERBIL (2022). With these, Omar definitively established himself in the canon of global electronic music.

THE TALLEST MAN ON EARTH

On May 10, The Tallest Man On Earth will play in the unique PAARD360 setup in the middle of the venue, completely surrounded by the audience.
The Swedish singer-songwriter has been one of the most distinctive voices in the folk world for years. His raw vocals, virtuoso guitar playing, and poetic lyrics have earned him a worldwide cult status. From the monster hit The King Of Spain to his most recent album Henry St. From his first Tiny Desk Concert in 2009 (and again in 2019) to his KEXP live session more than ten years later. The Tallest Man On Earth is a household name, an innovator, and a songwriter through and through.
