Friends like Tobi Neumann and Dinky pushed him towards music production in 2003. Dan gained additional technical ability by taking engineering classes and participating in audio workshops offered by the AES. Dan is constantly busy gaining knowledge in musical theory, learning composition, jazz harmonics, psychoacoustics and arranging. This now allows him to incorporate his classical and jazz background into the creative process that fuels his current music production for media and television. The strong impact of electronic music which has driven his continued production of funky, jazzy, and organic house tracks, has yet to leave Dan. Dan’s first vinyl release on District of Corruption lead to praise from some of the best dj’s in the business including Tobi Neumann, Josh Wink, Dinky, Fabrice Lig, Laurent Garnier, Minilogue, Somone Else, John Selway, Ed Davenport, Richie Hawtin, and Dj T.
David Gluck
Born and raised in Paris, David Gluck first came to electronic music at age 16. After a couple of years attending every house party and rave he could, he bought his first records and turntables. Meanwhile, he and his friends started organising their own events and had quite some success with their small-scale events.
In 1999 David choose to join forces with his friend Cabanne when he joined Logistic Records in order to work on the new sublabel Telegraph.
1999 is also the date of birth of the UltraKurt project created along with Cabanne, which will spawn a first release on Telegraph two years later, followed by a few others on Telegraph, Logistic, Perlon, Foundsound and finally Minibar.
During these years, David also released as Spasm on Telegraph’s “Post Office” compilations.
In the fall of 2003, Gluck decided to move to Berlin. The following summer he joined the resident Dj team at the Club Der Visionaere and is put in charge of the clubs program. Alongside David produced only little music during his Berlin stay, except for a Robert Hood remix along with Cabanne (as UltraKurt) for Logistic Records, a few remixes and a track for Minibar’s first own label Compilation “Milkshake”.
In 2008 David choose to move to the Netherlands and progressively started to produce music on his own again.
Nowadays, David participates to multiple projects along with visual artist Denise Pakes (aka Eyekino) for Motel Mozaïque, Lumia or as the group ‘Gazon’ for the dutch Antilounge project.
The first few days of 2011 also came with their bag of good news as David has now reintegrated Minibar Music as a full team member again and released his first solo ep on Minibar (mb023).
