The Crazy Rockers form The Hague, one of the few remaining Indorock bands were, next to The Tielman Brothers, founders of this Indo music scene. They were even awarded with the Branie-Award for their ambassadorship of the indorock scene.

In 1959 singer/guitarist and drummer Sidney Rampersad started the band The Crazy Rockers together with Woody Brunings. Duting the weekend they played gigs at a famous bar in The Hague “La Gaité”. In 1961 as one of the first Indonesian bands the young lads start their rock adventure in the German city Hannau. In 1962 The Crazy Rockers return to The Netherlands to sell out the Sheherazade several times in a row. They were the first band to ever showcase such exhilarating rock n roll on Dutch soil. A standing drummer and guitarist with slick rock n roll moves gave away a fabulous show. With ‘Mamma Pappa Twist’, The Crazy Rockers reached the charts and stayed there for over three solid months.

One of the most remarkable facts of this band is that the lads have stuck together all this time. Unfortunatly the band lost band leader Sidney Rampersad at an age of 42. With their new lead singer Boyd Brostowski they have found a respectful candidate to take over this role.

Although the gents are a little less ‘crazy’ nowadays, they are still capable of sharing their passion for music and musically entertain the audience throughout the night.
