Tangarine are the folky twin brothers Arnout and Sander Brinks. They were born in Lelystad (Holland), but soon moved to Assen. There, the brothers started writing and composing songs influenced by artists like Bob Dylan, Simon & Garfunkel & Neil Young at a very young age.

Buzz
Thanks to an enchanting one-minute performance at Dutch TV-show ‘De Wereld Draait Door’, the twin brothers got noticed by not only the public eye, but also some of Holland’s major labels. Eventually  Tangarine chose for Excelsior Recordings, and started working on material for their first Excelsior album together with Tim Knol and Matthijs van Duijvenbode (Sky Pilots, Johan).

Journey
Finally it’s there: Seek & Sigh, the album they have been working on for ten years. Full of songs that cover the major themes of their lives. It’s like a musical biography of the two, in which they reflect on their past. “We needed this album more than anyone. The songs describe a quest, a journey to find ourselves, to our own ideas, thoughts and ideals.”

House band
Currently, Tangarine is the house band of ‘De Wereld Draait Door’, a job that fits the band like a glove. Recently the duo also wrote a song for a new motion picture. And now, the twins will finally visit Paard van Troje during their long-awaited club tour.

Support act is My Bubba. Five years ago, Swedish-born My met Islandic Bubba in Copenhagen. Since then the ladies have been travelling around the globe with their contemporary folk music, most recently at Iceland Airwaves, Roskilde Festival and supporting Matthew E. White and Nina Persson.
