Talma, Lotterman & Dee

‘Not Yet, But On the Way’

Saturday 19 September 2026

Musicians Meindert Talma, Mark Lotterman, and poet Daniël Dee are coming to PAARD!
Three solo performances in one program — an ode to the spoken word, with songs that defy categorization. Both Talma and Lotterman will release new albums in 2026, and Dee is publishing a new poetry collection. Plenty of new work, but also space for earlier material.

Talma, Lotterman, and Dee will each perform solo.

  • Meindert Talma

    Singer-songwriter

The songwriter grew up in the Frisian village of Surhuisterveen, where he took organ lessons for many years from the organist of the local Reformed Church. After obtaining his Church Organ B diploma, he decided to pursue a career in music. He is now twenty albums in, all released through the renowned Excelsior Recordings label.

In April 2026, his new CD/LP Celluloid Illusies will be released — a collection of songs about Dutch actors and directors from the 1970s.

  • Mark Lotterman

    Singer-songwriter

“For many years, one of the Netherlands’ most powerful and valuable lyricists, performers, and artists,” is how Lucky Fonz III describes Rotterdam-based Lotterman. After a six-year break, he returned in 2024 with unconventional Dutch-language music: accessible yet profound, humorous yet sorrowful, realistic yet absurd. Recognizable characters in distinctly Dutch dramas.

In April 2026, he will release his third Dutch-language album in two years: Indien later, dan ook nu (If Later, Then Also Now).

  • Daniël Dee

    Poet

As city poet of Rotterdam, he has published more than ten poetry collections, written two novels, contributed to various literary magazines, appeared as house poet on KINK FM, and performed at festivals such as Lowlands and Poetry International.

In April 2026, a new poetry collection will be released — each poem ending with the final words of Emily Dickinson: “I must go in, the fog is rising.”

A hard worker, with a love for absurd detail and a fearlessly honest form of self-examination.
