Kobe-born and Brooklyn-based trumpeter Takuya Kuroda is known for his unique blend of jazz, funk, post bop and neo soul. With his warm, soulful sound and strong focus on groove, he effortlessly moves between traditional jazz and contemporary influences from hip hop and R&B. His music evokes artists like Herbie Hancock and Kamasi Washington, while remaining unmistakably his own.
With his eighth album Everyday, Kuroda shows how he has been working on his musical vision every single day for nearly thirty years.
