SUNDAY SUN & BADE

Friday 11 April 2014 2014

Great pop songs are still being produced, even by our own Dutch artists. Sunday Sun and Bade, both part of the new movement of pop artists from The Netherlands, will bring their catchy tunes to Paard van Troje this night.Sunday Sun, songs that feel like the summer sun Sunday Sun is known for it's 'sunny' songs. After releasing three EP's full of music that reminds you of summer and sticks in your head as bad as that bee in your lemonade, the 'Four happy loafs in suits' will release its first full album this fall. First single 'Sunday Morning' gives us a sneak preview of the new grounds that the band is exploring, as its whipping uptempo beats and a tiny bit of electronica give just that extra little more sunshine to the band's already sunlit sound. After becoming 3FM Serious Talent, a great gig at Noorderslag, and a major heap of shows, including supports for Laura Jansen, Racoon, Douwe Bob and Graham Coxon(Blur), it is now time to step up their game and conquer The Netherlands for good.  Bade: sympathetic pop songs, inspired by British heroesBart van Liemt, the energetic frontman of The Sheer and 50% of the producerduo Baskerville, starts his own solo project: 'Bade'. A sympathetic pacesetter that combines pop with raw grooves electronic rhythms. The influences of his British heroes (and yes, also The Beatles are included in that list) are a big part of his music. His solo debut album 'Miracle Wave' was made in collaboration with Sam Williams (Supergrass, The Noisettes) in the Templesound Studios (A small church in Oxford) and is expected to be released this fall. Luckily for us, he will be stopping by Paard van Troje first to give us a preview of what's to come!
