Ell Sol (Joan Mena) is a Spanish singer-songwriter whose intense, groundbreaking performances push the boundaries of contemporary music with the soul and sensibility of an artist looking to connect in deeper ways with his audiences. With songs sung primarily in his native Catalan, his lyrics transcend language with penetrating melodies and a familiar but unconventional delivery that leaves you wanting to put your palms together or jump to feet and dance.

Ell Sol combines the rich, melodic intensity of flamenco with whimsical shanties strummed on his ukulele or other unusual instruments he plays while casually strolling through the crowd interacting with a unique brand of showmanship seldom seen today.

Born in Sabadell (Catalonia), Ell Sol currently lays his hat in The Hague, where he can be seen on the streets and stages of the City of Peace and Justice.

His new collection of music will be released in the summer of 2013.

Chemical Days

is the musical collaboration between Australian-Dutch guitarist Joseph Stark, French vocalist Emmanuelle Vigneron and Dutch percussionist Marijn Romers. Having performed with bands such as Terre Neuve, The Rollicking and Sunrise, they joined forces at the end of 2012. Thus Chemical Days was born. Distorting classical themes and techniques, the band mixes styles to arrive at a sound truly their own: somewhere between Arcade Fire and P.J. Harvey; reminding one of The Black Angels or a chemically imbalanced Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds. The result is a collection of haunting short stories, stories which evoke a sense of loss and, more often than not, escalate into violence. There is a dark drive to these songs. You could dance to them, but you probably wouldn’t want to.

FARRIS

(http://farrisband.com), the international, Dutch rock band originally from the United States is the product of a world in motion, the inspirations, the wisdom, and the understanding that comes from miles of movement. The band first emerged out of the Salt Lake City alternative rock scene when globetrotting Kathleen Farris, lead singer-songwriter and creator of FARRIS, landed in Utah after three years of playing solo in support of her 2005 self-titled debut release. Known for placing equal importance on the music and the lyrics, FARRIS’ music quickly became known for its lyrical depth and impeccable live show.

In september 2010 Kathleen arrived in Holland and met up with three experienced musicians. From Holland Leo on bass and Evert on drums, from France Jeff on guitar. A new Farrisband is born to continue the journey.
