At an early age, Nielson (Niels Littooij) gets in touch with music when he gets a drumkit as a birthdaypresent. From that moment on, he is in love with music. It did not take very long before he discovered the guitar and his voice as well.

During puberty, Nielson participated in local talentnights, during which he encounters different genres of music, including hip hop. This immediately grabs his attention, and not much later he auditions for the Herman Brood Academie. In 2012 he finishes this education, and participates in the Dutch program ‘De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland’. With his song ‘Beaty & de Brains’, he reaches an amazing amount of people in The Netherlands, which instantly made the song a new Dutch evergreen.

In December 2012 he releases his next single, called ‘Zo Kan Het Dus Ook’, which is just as succeseful as its predecessor. The unlucky Nielson then arrives in a period in which he has ongoing problems with his voice. Luckily, this period ends after three months and he makes his comeback at the 3FM Awards, organized by Dutch radiostation 3FM.
