Mammal Hands are Nick Smart on keyboards, Jesse Barrett on drums and tabla, and Jordan Smart on saxophone. Their influences range from Pharoah Sanders, Gétachèw Mekurya and Terry Riley to Steve Reich and Sirishkumar Manji. Their latest record will be released in September 2020 and will be called Captured Spirts.

The semi-classical drum / saxophone / piano trio Mammal Hands is back in PAARD. Whoever was there in 2019 in a crowded Small Hall (or at Mondriaan Jazz in 2017, perhaps!) knows what hypnotic atmospheres this trio can create. Jazz, modern-classic with a dash of electronica, all cast in their own style that will certainly impress again this time. They will be back on 24 February 2022.
