KRS-ONE makes name for himself in 1987 with the boogie down productions album ‘Criminal Minded’. Rap and critique on society all collide in KRS-ONE’s raps. Ever since KRS-ONE is known for his furious and political statements underlined with socially conscious and sometimes vicious raps.
Shortly after the release of ‘Criminal Minded’ the album is torn apart by the murder on musical friend, DJ Scott La Rock. From 1993 and onwards KRS-ONE flourishes as a solo artist with among others ‘Return of the Boombap’ and ‘I Got Next’. The rest is history!
