Timeless debut
Four childhood friends release an album full of pure indie pop music in 2011. As soon as the Belgian radio starts to play their music invitations to play throughout the world start to arrive, from Texas to Toronto. Result: debut ‘Greetings & Salutations’ gets a gold status and sold-out shows are no rarity. ‘The biggest compliment we got was from a music critic who said that our sound is ‘timeless’. He reanimated that well-worn word just for us!’, says bassist Raf.

Fun but tough year
2011 was a successful year, with a sold-out show in Ancienne Belgique and a packed tent stage at Dour Festival as highlights. However, it was also a tough year as they barely got a grip on everything that was coming their way. Luckily, the band has learned from this and is ready for a new adventure.

Avalanche of words
The good news: the storm resulted in a new album. ‘I had a huge writers block, but then suddenly the words started to appear in my head with the speed of light. An avalanche of words, desperately waiting to get out. It’s the story of what happened the last three years with the band and in my personal life’, says lead singer Lara. The result, ‘Litle Heavy Burdens’ is an unity, a constructive story. ‘The first album was just loose track combined on a record’, says Raf. ‘There was no real vision. This album is way more well-thought of and more consistent.’

‘Little Heavy Burdens’ is atmospherical, catchy, melancholic and therapeutic. The sum of that is, of course, timeless. Their future will last long.

Support-act tonight is JARA. The Hague’s own Jara Holdert writes beautiful, story telling indie folk songs which meander between soft whispers and uplifting melodies.
