When the musicians of Huize Lucas take the stage, you will be taken on a Dutch-language journey from dreampop to queerfunk. With swinging horns, a singing band and their dynamic music playing, Huize Lucas renews the pop scene. Expect a poetic, cozy mix of Wende, Prince and Connie Palmen that will make you laugh, cry, dance and sing.

LUCAS (Lucas Vermeer) of Huize Lucas, has taken his first steps as an artist over the past two years. His debut album “Body” was released, whose singles have been included in prominent Spotify Playlists. Live, he got to play it at 3FM and NPO Radio 1, among others. ‘Body’ was a concept and compilation album of three previously released partial EPs. Together these form a trilogy about dreamy love that kicks against heteronormativity. Musical influences of Froukje, Sufjan Stevens, Jacob Collier and Spinvis can be heard, and inspiration for lyrics he took from Connie Palmen and Annie M.G. Schmidt.
