Support: Sunday SunLast year Douwe Bob surprised the Netherlands during the first edition of ‘De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland’ (The Best Singer-Songwriter of the Netherlands) and won the competition without an effort. His first single, ‘Multicoloured Angels’ opened many doors for him in the Dutch music scene, and now brings this young man from Amsterdam to Paard van Troje.

Douwe Bob was only eleven years old when he set foot on a stage for the first time. Although considering he grew up in an especially musically gifted and creative family, this is not even very surprising. His participation in Giel Beelen’s T.V.-programme gave him a media boost and put him in the spotlight for the Dutch public. The first big step was taken.

His love for old rootslegends like Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Bob Dylan and James Taylor is undeniable: Douwe Bob is a young artist with an old soul. The past few months he has been gathering and writing many songs, who have now been compiled into his debut album, called ‘Born In A Storm’. Now that the album has been released, he is determined to conquer the hearts of the Dutch music lovers once again.

The support act of this evening is Sunday Sun: after hearing their extremely catchy popsongs and seeing their enthusiastic performance, you will inevitably be smiling the whole night through.
