In the third season, which is being aired every monday on channel ‘Nederland 3’, the jury consisting of Giel Beelen, Miss Montreal en Eric Corton, have decided who will battle for the title of best singer-songwriter: Valentina Elèni, Wytse, Stef Classens, Myriam West, Kira Dekker, David Benjamin, Josephine Zwaan and Youri Lentjes are the lucky finalists. But who’ll be the best singer-songwriter?

Who will be the successor of Douwe Bob and Michael Prins? Our country is searching for the songwriter who will be proclaimed the best singer-songwriter of The Netherlands of 2014. All finalists will then tour nationwide, and of course they'll visit Paard van Troje, the home of the finale in july.Back in 2012, the first edition of 'De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland' took place, initiated by Dutch radio DJ Giel Beelen(3FM). In this talent show, it's not about who's the best singer or performer, but who's the best songwriter and interpreter. ‘DBSSW’, as the show is being abbreviated, found its first winner in Douwe Bob. He was followed by Michael Prins in 2013. That quality is the only thing that counts, was proven by festival- and club tours, not only by the winners, but also from other contestants such as Maaike Ouboter and Nielson.
