Coming all the way from San Francisco, these Cool Ghouls! They travelled the distance to The Netherlands once before, for a performance at the leading festival Inclubate, and believe us that we just had to ask this band to perform another gig in our Paardcafé. From psychedelic to upbeat garage-pop: their sound meets somewhere in-between, in the most comfortable place.

With these gentleman in the building you feel like you’re in the sixties due to their psychedelic sounds full of reverb and their melodic polyphonic way of singing. Almost all band members sing along. The comparison with The Byrds are easily made, but it isn’t only hippy fried country rock that these Cool Ghouls make. Their raw edge suits them as well as The black Lips.

Well, let’s just call it timeless rock ‘n’ roll, because that’s what it definitely is.

“ They offer harmony-laden 60s folk-rock with a slight slacker feel. We’re thankful brilliant bands like this are still out there today. “
