Two of the best blue grass acts of Dutch soil reunite tonight for a dazzling bluegrass show where its all about mandolins, banjos, blues harps and close harmony, packaged in an American soul.

The Blue Grass Boogiemen has been playing traditional bluegrass since 1990. Ever since they have been touring successfully around the world. The Washington Post wrote an enthusiastic review, in Ireland they won the ‘Waterford Crystal Bowl’ for ‘most popular band’ at the Guinness International Bluegrass Festival and they knocked down the Lima stage at the Dutch Lowlands Festival. And these are only three examples of the many accomplishments of these Dutch blue grass heroes. Their new album ‘Grassified’, on which they ‘bluegrassified’ Dutch songs by other artists, came out in April.

Herman Brock Jr. became fascinated by American roots music in his hometown Terneuzen. His dad and grandad used to tell him tales of those who went to find happiness and freedom across the ocean. Now, many years later, the left handed bluegrass, Americana and blues musician bundled these stories on his album ‘The Old World’, which he released in 2015. It brought him to the stages of renowned Dutch festivals such as Lowlands, Naked Song, Roots in the Park and Mañana Mañana.
