Saturday 24 May 2014 2014

Straight forward rock 'n roll, that's what Automatic Sam will give you with an enthusiasm you haven't seen before. Together with Battles of 1977, the newest project of Urban Dance Squad-member Rudeboy, they will visit The Hague to cause an earthquake.Automatic SamAutomatic Sam has seen much of the world already in the five years of their existence. Next to the enormous amount of gigs in The Netherlands, they have also been seen in Germany, Belgium, United Kingdom, Switzerland and Italy. Succesfull support shows for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Claw Boys Claw and De Staat have also been crossed on their to do-list. The Netherlands' biggest festivals like Paaspop, Appelpop and Eurosonic Noorderslag have been fallen victim to these noise-rebels. Automatic Sam: turn up the volume and go. Rock 'n roll, boogie and psychedelic heavyness. The good things in life.Battles of 1977In 1977 all hell broke loose when England's punk bands started washing over The Netherlands. Caught in the whirlpool was Patrick Tilon, aka Rudeboy. Together with producer/guitarist Frans van Essen (Silkstone), he's opening fire again with his new band: Battles of 1977. Debut album 'To All Our Cohorts' is provided with the screaming, rapping and singing of Rudeboy himself, and envelops the fury that we have seen from him before when playing in Urban Dance Squad. Genre: melodic militancy.
