Celebrating and Highlighting INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY at DOLLE MINA FEST 2026
On Sunday, March 8, International Women’s Day, PAARD joins forces with Dolle Mina Den Haag to transform the venue into an activist epicenter. With Dolle Mina Fest, the Hague-based pop venue and the Hague Mina’s present an evening that pushes boundaries, from sharp conversations to radical energy, featuring a powerful line-up. Taking the stage are pop icon MEROL, queer sensation LIONSTORM, and The Hague-based female-fronted punk band Dolly Min.
No polite celebration from the sidelines, but a frontal attack on the status quo. That is the core of Dolle Mina Fest. As part of PUSH, PAARD’s socially critical, progressive and politically engaged program line, the festival offers a platform to the rebellious spirit of both the historic and contemporary Hague Dolle Minas. The result is a program that is as festive as it is urgent.
Programme & Line-up
The first names leave little to the imagination. With MEROL, the festival brings in the queen of witty Dutch-language pop. Also appearing is queer rap duo LIONSTORM, known for explosive shows and razor-sharp lyrics. Local energy comes from The Hague punk band Dolly Min, bringing exactly the activist spirit the original movement was known for.
Dolle Mina Fest is about more than music alone. Throughout the evening, there is plenty happening in the foyer. Dolle Mina Den Haag will present its own exhibition and sustainable merch stand. Sex Matters and Studio Ongepast will also be present with an in-depth programme exploring intersectional feminism, emancipation and representation. Visitors and artists are actively invited to engage in conversation: how do we break the glass ceilings and build a more inclusive scene?
“With PUSH, we want to be more than just a place for a beer and a band. Dolle Mina Fest shows that music and activism in The Hague are still inextricably linked,” says Romy, member of Dolle Mina Den Haag and staff member at PAARD.
