The Dutch electronic duo Weval is a major player in the dance scene, complete with international sold-out tours and shows at festivals such as Lowlands, Primavera, and Best Kept Secret. Harm Coolen and Merijn Scholte-Albers form the Dutch producer duo. They broke through internationally with their debut album Weval and its follow-up The Weight. While their early work sounded dreamy and introspective, the album Remember added a rawer energy and more groove. The result: music that constantly evolves, but always remains recognizably warm, compelling, and groundbreaking. Their fourth album Chorophobia has just been released and is their most danceable record yet. Yet the band cannot be pinned down to one beat; the album jumps from genre to genre.
