The Elwins were support for Tokyo Police Club, Arkells, The Sadies, Brandan Canning and Walk Off The Earth, tonight they are proudly presenting their first own headline show at Paard van Troje. The lads' amazing facial hair is just one of the awesome aspects of the band: the young energetic guys make charming indie pop that makes you want to dance and sing along. Vocalist/guitarist Matthew Sweeney and drummer Travis Stokl bonded over a mutual love for The Flaming Lips and started what is now called The Elwins. Good friends Feurd Moore on keyboard and Frankie Figliomeni on bass joined and tada! The highly anticipated debut album "And I Thank You" was released in July. The album is built on love for popmusic: from the evident Beatles-sound and the unique sound of Frank Zappa, everything is packed in this album.
