In his ongoing quest for innovation, Sticks released an autobiographical book offering a unique insight into his creative process. The most recent albums to emerge from that process are STICKmatic and Het Mooiste Komt Nu. In early 2022, a documentary about his life was released, carrying the same title as the latter album. In 2024, he released his latest work, Zonneschijn — a tribute to his late mother that reveals a vulnerable and sincere side of the rapper. That same year, he conquered the Heineken Stage at Lowlands, joined by a guest performance from the entire Fakkelbrigade. With the same energy, he brought the house down at his first, sold-out AFAS Live show. This performance was also dedicated to Zonneschijn, featuring an a cappella rendition of Lentezon in honor of his mother.

Sticky Steez, better known as Sticks, first broke through with the rap group Opgezwolle and has since become a household name in the Dutch hip-hop scene. With a string of new releases, he seems to be completely back in the game, selling out one show after another. Late last year, together with the Fakkelbrigade — including Rico and Typhoon — he brought the AFAS to its feet. Sticks continues to release one solo album after another and, after 27 years in the business, still shows the same passion and work ethic for hip-hop. On 21 November, we are thrilled to welcome him to our Grolsch Zaal!
