RONDE

RONDÉ. Five letters, five band members. The Spanish conjugation of getting together. It was only three years ago when one of Hollands most promising young bands was born. Rondé started out as a collection of musicians that gathered to ‘’just write some songs’’.  As a result they created their first hit single ‘Run’ and consequently the indiepop band became an overnight festival favourite. We’re happy that they are back for a new show at Paard!

2015 was a superb year for Rondé. They played nothing but huge festivals like Lowlands, Concert At Sea and Mysteryland, Dutch radio stations couldn’t get enough of the band and 3FM even labelled them ‘’3FM Serious Talent’. They released a second single ‘We Are One’ and it broke through all barriers, proving Rondé wasn’t a one day wonder.

Last year, Rondé worked together with producer Niels Zuiderbroek (Kensington and Van Velzen) on their debut album . They released the record named ‘’RONDÉ’’ in January and the following tour, in which Rondé played a sold out show here in Paard, set the tone for the rest of the musical year. ‘with this record we want to show who we are’, says front singer Rikki Borgelt. She experiences the album as ‘a bubble’ with the typical Rondé sound, which she describes as ‘warm, melodic, poppy, characteristic, mysterious and immersive.

Support: Wulf
He’s the voice of ‘Summer On You’: thé summer hit of 2016 of Sam Feldt, Lucas & Steve, featuring Wulf. Barely recovered of this huge success with performances on Mysteryland, Summer Festival in Antwerp and Ushuaia on Ibiza, Wulf now debutes as a solo artist with his single ‘Mind Made up’. It’s a fresh, light and positive number about choosing your dream and putting it all on the line to accomplish this. And he can relate because four years ago, Wulf quit his successful job to pursuit his true dream: singing. ”I got my mind made up, and I aint’ gonna stop, Gonna be on top, I got my mind made up”.
