Hans Dulfer & Han Bennink
Two giants of Dutch jazz on one stage — a rare occasion. Saxophonist Hans Dulfer (1940) and drummer Han Bennink (1942) reunited in 2023, resulting in the vinyl release The New, New Acoustic Swing Duo. Two exhilarating concerts proved that their vitality has lost none of its power over the decades — something that will undoubtedly be evident once again.
Hans Dulfer has always had a keen sense for new trends. He also achieved major success in Japan with his hit album Big Boy, while always remaining a true jazz musician at heart. Drummer and visual artist Han Bennink is another legendary free spirit: capable of relentless swing (including performances with Sonny Rollins), yet equally a towering figure in free jazz and instant composing. Together, this duo delivers theatre, excitement, humour — and deeply sincere jazz.
Hans Dulfer & Jerôme Hol
Dulfer’s favourite guitarist Jerôme Hol has rapidly emerged in recent years as one of the most distinctive guitarists of his generation. In addition to the Hans Dulfer Band, he has shared the stage with artists such as Billy Cobham and Dr. Lonnie Smith.
Hol’s playing fuses powerful guitar fireworks with the warmth of the blues and the harmonic subtlety of jazz. Expect a performance brimming with playfulness and unparalleled musicality.
