Leading Ladies is an evening for and by female artists. We celebrate independent women in music with a genre-free line-up: from bands to acoustic, always women first. For International Women’s Day, the Leading Ladies are taking over the PAARD Café. Come support your girls!

FIERE is a unique Dutch-language indie folk artist who combines vulnerability and strength in her music. Her lyrics tell unfiltered stories about the search for oneself and the all-consuming desire to be seen. Every sentence resonates in the dynamics of her band, with strings that amplify the emotion.

Post Ella‘s alternative electronic pop draws you into stories about the desperate need for control, derealisation and the fear of losing everything. Propelled by hard beats and feverish synths, the listener is transported into the band’s decaying world.

Inspired by Massive Attack, Björk, and FKA twigs, as well as the cinematic artistry of filmmakers such as Charlie Kaufman and Andrzej Żuławski, the band gently takes their audience by the hand through the ethereal synth and vocal melodies that give each song its narrative.

Led by the unapologetically bold Cheyenne Howell, High On Chai serves up a sonic rush of pop rock, synth pop with a bite, and vocals that hit you in the face in the best way possible. Think Paramore and Olivia Rodrigo sharing a chai martini: energetic, fierce, and a little bit cheeky. By 2024, High On Chai has definitely made a name for itself: from a fiery debut EP to opening for modernlove and a striking performance on RTL4’s The Headliner.
