Algra is the brand-new project from songwriter and frontman Arend Dijkstra, formerly of The Great Communicators. The music ranges from intimate piano songs to layered band arrangements, carried by a rock-solid rhythm section.
The lyrics are as disarming as they are confrontational, with an intensity that sets Algra apart in the Dutch indie scene. The first single, Precious Time, from the debut album Ambla will be released in January.
With his impressive voice and original songs, Wolfgang (17) is one of the most striking young talents in the Netherlands. His music moves effortlessly from powerful and raw to small and fragile. The jury of Mooie Noten 2024, which he won as the youngest participant ever, called him “the promise for the future.” His work is regularly compared to artists such as Jeff Buckley and Tamino: intense, layered, and full of tension.
In 2025, Wolfgang released the self-produced singles For Someone Like You, Bruises, and Getting Closer.
