After a year at the Kleinkunstacademie, she studied jazz singing at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and completed her studies with distinction at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Koosje is now active as a singer, arranger, composer and conductor.
Her second album One More was recently released. She started writing again immediately after releasing her first album It’s Time in February 2023. During that time, she experienced a wide range of emotions — many ups and downs — and music remained her outlet through it all.
It took her a year and a half to write, create, perform, and record the album, and she hadn’t expected to have another album out so soon.
Her album One More is an ode to the adventure of life. It reflects how each day brings its own set of challenges, while also showing how inspiring and full of love life can be. Pain and joy go hand in hand. In the end, the fleeting nature of life led her to the conclusion that she wants to be fully present in the moment and embrace everything life has to offer: “I won’t wait before the day ends, no, I won’t rush after the sunset.”
