Sometimes you can tell from the very first second that something special awaits you. That you discover an artist who follows his own path, even if he himself does not yet know where the road will lead him. Iskander Moens is such a person. As a young twenty-something, he traveled through Europe with Collegium Vocale Gent and immersed himself in Bach and polyphony, which also led to his own vocal compositions for Dionysos Now!. At the same time, his love for pop music grew, where he found more freedom, first as a singer and bassist of HYPER! In his solo work, the tone is different. More subtle. Thoughtful. More authentic. Also more personal. Over the past few years, Iskander, now transformed into Iskander Moon, regularly sought the anonymity of the big city and moved for longer periods to Berlin, Gothenburg, New York, and Florence. Places that stimulated him.

With his debut single Saturday Silence, released in September 2023, Iskander showcased a first sample of his abilities and received airplay on the largest Belgian radio stations such as Studio Brussel, MNM, Radio 2, and the track is now nearing a million plays on Spotify. And now there is Are You Lost Here? (released on [PIAS]), an EP with seven tracks and a bonus track that makes an impression.
