GOGOL BORDELLO

International punk band with Ukrainian roots and an explosive gypsy-punk sound.

Tuesday 1 September 2026

Since 1999, the international punk band Gogol Bordello has been known for their explosive live shows and boundless energy. Led by Ukrainian frontman Eugene Hütz, the band emerged from the vibrant underground scene of New York’s Lower East Side. What started as acoustic performances in Ukrainian bars grew into a multicultural eight-piece band that blends influences from Eastern European music, punk, rock and Latin into their signature “gypsy-punk” sound.

Over the years, Gogol Bordello has performed around the world and shared stages with bands such as System of a Down, Primus, Rancid and Dropkick Murphys. They have also collaborated with artists and producers including Regina Spektor, Rick Rubin and Steve Albini.

Beyond their music, the band actively advocates for solidarity with Ukraine. Through benefit shows and collaborations with organizations such as Nova Ukraine and ArtDopomoga, they raise funds and awareness for the consequences of the war.

In early 2026, they released their new album We Mean It, Man!, on which Gogol Bordello expand their signature gypsy-punk sound with influences from post-punk and electronic music. Expect an intense mix of raw punk energy, danceable rhythms and soaring melodies—just like at their legendary live show at PAARD.
