For 20 years, Rootsriders have been traveling the world in the footsteps of their musical hero Bob Marley, still the undisputed King of Reggae since 2017 together with Sudanese singer Mo Ali. To celebrate this anniversary, they are asking all Bob Marley fans which songs they would like to hear this year. In addition, as their own support act, they will perform songs from their recently released album Beautiful Day Beautiful Life.
Rootsriders were founded in 2006 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Bob Marley’s passing with a sold-out concert at the Melkweg in Amsterdam. Notable former members include current The Wailers lead singer Mitchell Brunings, Shirma Rouse, and Giovanca. In 2021, the band reached the final of the first edition of the SBS6 TV show The Tribute: Battle of the Bands and performed with the three fellow finalists at a sold-out Ziggo Dome. The band regularly performs abroad, both with their own concerts and at festivals.
