Paardcafé: ROSEYE & Hatoon

Saturday 22 November 2025

ROSEYE is a young, up-and-coming band that has just made its debut on the international scene. They combine soul, funk, jazz, hip hop, classical music, punk, and electronic music into a sound that is both genre-defying and unmistakably their own. Their sound is intuitive, expressive, and highly original, characterized by a deep commitment to sonic exploration and social commentary, with a strong foundation in musical craftsmanship, performance, and palpable chemistry on stage.

Led by Scottish frontwoman Tallulah Rose, an impressive presence on vocals and tenor saxophone, the band has a spiritual, political message.
Poetic and down-to-earth reflections on nature, war, grief, healing, sexuality, and love. Their music has been played worldwide, including on BBC Radio 6, BBC Radio 3, BBC Radio Scotland, and NPO Soul & Jazz.

Sudanese-Dutch artist Hatoon creates a new sound of jazz, neo-soul, and alternative R&B and is someone to keep an eye on. Her intuitive lyrics are delivered with a warm, layered voice that is as powerful—but also vulnerable—as the lyrics themselves. Having spent her childhood as a refugee in a small Dutch village, the artist took on the position of outsider/observer at a young age.

After singing backup vocals for other Dutch artists such as Joshua-J, BNNYHUNNA, Lèlèman, and T-Shawn, it’s time for the 22-year-old to step forward and share her story.
