Paardcafé: LÖNA

LÖNA consists of identical twin sisters who find common ground in dark pop. Because of this darkness, they use a Scandinavian-sounding band name that means “valuable” in Swedish. They are inspired by acts such as Billie Eilish, Florence + the Machine, and Sevdaliza.

LÖNA’s melancholic sound is the perfect Dark & Stormy cocktail. The twins mix icy synth sounds with vocal samples and encouraging four-to-the-floor beats.
Together with lyrics about, among other things, the death of their father and the longing for love, the LÖNA formula is complete and they bring melancholy to the dance floor.
