Paardcafé: Coos, Pyke, Mail for Sil

Coos gives you an unfiltered glimpse into her thoughts with her indie folk/pop songs. Her lyrics come straight from her diary. She sings about her road to adulthood, the people around her and nostalgia. With multi-part vocals, guitar, piano and violin, she draws inspiration from artists such as Julia Jacklin, Phoebe Bridgers and Big thief. Her emotions drive the music, the songs range from small and intimate to big and intense.

Pyke is a singer/songwriter with a distinctive voice and catchy melancholic songs. His songs reflect on oppressive soul pain, imposed standards and the constant urge to have to meet that standard.

Mail for Sil is a project brought to life by Silke Weeber (songwriting and vocals). Currently playing and recording with Mail for Sil are Morris Heiligers (guitar), Tijn van der Kooij (bass), Yael Zuckerman (drums). Sil is inspired by traditional folk from the 60s and 70s (think Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Simon & Garfunkel, Cat Stevens, Vashti Bunyan). Her biggest inspirations are modern artists such as Laura Marling, Flyte, Sam Philips, Blake Mills, Shakey Graves and Adrianne Lenker.
