Line-up: Chiraw, Devious, Undawn & Roadkill.

Roadkill is a dutch Heavy Metalband with the headquarters in Rotterdam. Roadkill plays straight Heavy Metal, influenced by 80’s metalbands like Iron Maiden, Metallica, Helloween, Judas Priest, DIO and many others. Altough Roadkill started out playing Rockcovers, they soon began composing and playing their own songs and found out that was the way to go. After a few bandchanges Roadkill ended up in the current line up.

Formed in 2006, Dutch metal doesn’t get more diverse than Chiraw. Not bound by genre barriers, this quintet sets out to create something that is completely their own. In 2012 they saw changes in line up when longtime bass player Thomas Veldhuis decided to leave the band. He is being replaced by Desmond Kuijk to produce the destructive low end Chiraw is famous for. The guys also decided to bring in a 2nd guitar player in the person of Stijn Strotmann (ex-Deadbeat).

Dutch metal band Devious released their long awaited EP “Wolfhagen” in 2012. New singer Dennis Lusseveld makes his first appearance on these recordings, as well as the brutal bass thunders of Alwin Zuur (Asphyx). The result is a groundbreaking, deadly portion of grooving metal. The limited edition, hand numbered metal case features 5 new tracks and 2 previously unreleased bonus tracks and was sold out within a year.

‘For those who love metal core: there is Undawn. We haven’t heard this genre in The Netherlands this good before’, according to Aardschok Magazine, January 2012. The four brothers released their first full-length cd in 2011, which led to fantastic reviews and shows with Soulfly and Textures. Not bad for a relatively new band. Not bad at all. Make sure to see these guys and get infected by their raw energy and thick grooves.
