Welcome to the first edition of the Sniester Festival which takes place on 30 + 31 May and 1 June in the musical centre of The Hague: the Pophotspot. During three days, the Grote Markt and Paard van Troje will be a summery sanctuary full of unique music-, theatre- and culinary discoveries.
‘Lay on the ground. Light Fire. Get ready!’ Originating from the warnings on firecrackers – called ‘Sniester’ in the eastern area of the Netherlands, Sniester was introduced to the world. This because Sniester stands for an explosion of atmosphere, enthousiasm, adventure and art.
Sniester is the successor of the Pophotspotfestival, which took place at the Grote Markt in past years, and is being organised by Grote Markt, Paard van Troje, Haags Pop Centrum(HPC) and Dillegentia Theater.
The varied program, spread over various indoor as well as outdoor stages, contains a broad spectrum of activities and shows: exclusive solo-performances in small tents, a carboothsale, extraordinary storytelling, childrens’ theatre, Sniester-tapas made with love and a Texas BBQ at the market. Sniester says goodbye to high stages, barriers and long queues and embraces passion, atmopshere, discoveries and adventures!
