The band was formed in 1982 and had its first performance in the Remont Club in Warschau. Even at this first show Kult made a lasting impression and from that day on the band of Kazik Staszewski was known for the mood they create at their shows and the characteristic unorthodox lyrics.

In their home country Poland, Kult has a legendary status because with their music they criticized ‘the system’ from day one. They brought their punk music to the audience with power and belief, and this style later on merged into multiple other styles. Think of a mix of rock, ska, jazz, reggae and even poetry. Call it spherical provoking, call it making a musical statement, and most of all call it Kult!
