On Wednesday, March 30th, 2022, the debut album Mental Floss For The Globe (1989) by the Urban Dance Squad will take center stage during Iconic Albums in Paard in The Hague. Arjen de Vreede (DJ DNA) is interviewed on stage and other protagonists tell their story from a big screen. There are also unique images from that time on display. “We had a good musical chemistry with the five of us and people were enthusiastic about our sound all the way down to America,” says DJ DNA.

Iconic Albums
The Iconic Albums series focuses on famous albums by Dutch artists, through interviews with the artists and others who have experienced the creation of these albums first hand. Iconic Albums was created by Martin Kuiper, who is also responsible for the live documentary evening Behind the Music, www.behindthemusic.nl, Musical Footsteps and video interview platform FaceCulture, www.youtube.com/faceculture. During previous editions of Behind the Music in Paard, Rinus Gerritsen from Golden Earring, Spike from Di-rect and Tim Akkerman were guests. Last summer, the Horse Musical Footsteps – Anneke van Giersbergen honors Kate Bush. The baptism of fire of Iconic Albums – Mental Floss For The Globe was on September 15, 2021 in a sold-out De Helling in Utrecht.
