The Vices’ career kicked off with a bang: shows supporting Yungblud, tours in the UK and across Europe and a show at Noorderslag. Singles Boy, Looking For Faces and Before Your Birth earnt the band airplay on 3FM, KINK and NPO Radio 2 whilst the former also propelled them to 3FM Talent status.

Onstage the vibe switches from four fun-having friends to an infectious energy with which The Vices will blow you off your feet. And on December 18th they will come to PAARD with their “The New New Normal” tour. What you can expect from this evening is a contrasting mix of britpop and surf rock, with influences from The Strokes and Cage the Elephant.

After the positive response to debut album Looking For Faces from the likes of OOR, NRC, 3voor12 and Trouw the band embarked on a 1.5m tour which included a show at Amsterdam’s Paradiso. Nice to be able to do that during a pandemic, but it’s still just half the experience. That’s why The Vices now present The New New Normal Tour. The new normal was never normal, but neither will it be the same as before. It’s shaping up to be one of the first full capacity tours following waves of COVID-19 restrictions, so prepare yourself for the full experience and so much more. Let’s celebrate the return of live music, “wilder than ever before!”

Among each other they might still behave like kids, but that’s just how much fun The Vices have. They take having fun very seriously, but if you listen carefully you’ll hear a band who don’t avoid emotional depth. Looking For Faces is full of unpolished thoughts, honest discussions and a friendship which might just be the answer to everything.
