“It’s all been about survival and reinvention. I wanted to make an open-sounding record with the space to tell these stories. I like to write about characters and people I meet along the way. The dreamers, schemers, hustlers, romantics, lovers, leavers and believers.” Many of the dreamers, schemers and so on from Jesse’s own life contribute to Sunset Kids, his new album of highly personal songsbeing released August 30.

Support: Don DiLego

DiLego was born and raised in western Massachusetts. He has been following his restless creative winds for much of his life. His very first musical purchase was a Rhinestone Cowboy 45 and he’s been chasing the same (cowboy) high ever since. Over the past two decades, DiLego has landed a major label deal; released five critically acclaimed solo albums; scored a feature film, opened his own recording studio and is co-founder of Velvet Elk record label.

“ It’s a soundtrack to the apocalypse, a command to reconnect before it’s too late, and makes you believe that the P.M.A. (positive mental attitude) that Malin has been preaching for decades just might be enough to save us. “
