‘The girl from the east’ remains sober under the success and has been organizing her own festival ‘Bierpop,’ for years, attracting headliners such as Kensington, DI-RECT and De Dijk. The versatile musician was also active for three seasons as a jury member at The best singer-songwriter of the Netherlands and The Voice Of Holland, and is committed as an ambassador for the Youth Sports & Culture Fund.

It is 2008 when Sanne Hans, aka Miss Montreal, releases her first single ‘Just A Flirt’. Eight albums and at least as many Top-10 listings later, the homegrown singer-songwriter is an established name in the Dutch music industry. With hits like ‘Hoe’ (ft. Nielson) and Till The Sun Comes Up, the singer has platinum and gold records to her name. This year, Miss Montreal will go back to basics and focus on writing Dutch-language music.
