Emma Ruth Rundle writes beautiful, poetic songs, wrapped in soundscapes of folk, post-rock and ambient. It’s minimalistic but at the same time drenched in emotions and heavy sounds. Her own work, like her part in the cinematic post-rock of Red Sparowes and the rich guitar sound of Marriages will leave you with goosebumps. Her exclusive concert at PAARD on October 3rd is her last stop on her tour, in which she opened for acts like the Japanese Mono, Deafheaven and Russian Circles.

Support: GOLD
With the heavy avant-garde of GOLD we bring you a solid support act. Their last album ‘Why Aren’t You Laughing?’ is full of hypnotising gothic vibes with layers of blackened guitar sounds and atmospherical vocals. The music of GOLD breathes the experimental of Godspeed You! Black Emperor en Throwing Muses, with a new, own sound.

“ Against ominously pounding drums, the music rises around Rundle’s vocals as if she’s summoning the elements into a dance. The resulting sound is something like somber Americana rendered in rich gothic splendor. She’s too good at this “
