Saturday 19 October 2019 2019

Jon Allen’s show has unfortunately been canceled i.v.m. a delayed album release. Ticket buyers have received mail.

Jon Allen has a warm voice with a raw edge and gets occasionally compared to John Waite and Rod Steward. His soulful voice reveals that he is influenced by blues, folk, jazz, roots and Beatles-like popmusic. The British singer-songwriter released in 2018 his new album ‘Blue Flame, which will (according to Blues Magazine): “Melt womens hearts of even worse; break them“. He already performed in 2010 at Paard and on ocotober 19th Jon Allen will be back!

On the age of fifteen Jon Allen traded his gamecomputer for an electric guitar. On the age of sixteen he wrote songs inspired by the Beatles and soon went to The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. When he moved to London he got the opportunity to open shows for Damien Rice, KT Tunstall and Jose Gonsalez. He also worked together with Paul McCartney and played support for Seal, Joe Bonamassa and Dire Straits. Mark Knopfler is one of his biggest fans and in 2010 he performed at Pinkpop. An impressive list if you ask us. In the fall you’ll see him live at Paard!
