Klangstof

Klangstof is buzzing and booming. The Dutch-Norwegian indie pop band, with Koen van de Wardt – former bass player at Moss- as band chief, gained critical acclaim across the country borders. With a show at the notorious American festival Coachella – as the first Dutch group to ever play at this even- Klangstof proved to be here for the long run. Luckily for you, you do not have to travel far to see them live: on November 19th they’ll visit Paard.

Debut album Close Eyes To Exit was only released last year, ten months after the last songs were mixed. ‘You can almost picture the forests and fjords whilst listening to this album’ national news paper De Volkskrant states and according to Dutch music blog Written in Music ‘Klangstof is at its best when their music is ominous and somewhat undefined, like a swelling wind against a sky full of colours’.

Comparisons to Elbow, Radiohead and a darker Coldplay galore, but Klangstof is determined to shake off every possible reference, if only to grow from an international buzz to an international legend.

Dakota
Dreamy indie pop with psychedelic riffs. The band Dakota is the support act of Klangstof this evening.

“ Instrumentale postrocksferen, opmerkelijk subtiel aanzwellende noise en bevreemdende elektronica; een opwindende sound en boeit van begin tot eind “
